The fact that I cannot keep myself from listening to my iPod at a level that is without a doubt DEVASTATING my hearing helps me understand people who keep smoking. Sometimes I make it halfway to the bus stop – the bus stop across the street from my apartment – without turning my iPod all the way up. Sometimes I actually make it onto the bus.
